The new South Wales has conquered the 2025 female government title with a match to be saved after having beaten Queensland 26-6 in conditions of wet torrential at the Allianz stadium in Sydney.
After winning the first game of the Serie A three games 32-12 in Brisbane in early May, the new South Wales was just as dominant in the game two to the same time in the rain side of Sydney.
Having guided 12-6 in half time, a sensational performance of the second half among the worsening conditions has seen them free from Queensland for their first title since 2022.
Olivia Kernick by The Blues starred with two attempts and help to earn the player’s honors, with Simaima Taufa, Jayme Fressard and Jaime Chapman who also recorded attempts.
Isabelle Kelly del NSW, who recorded an attempt at assistance and 14 races, said: “I am a little shocked until it was honest, but I knew we had it in us.
“We were trained by the best in John Strange, it highlights the best in every single player.
“There was something truly unique in this year and I knew we could do it.
“I am so proud of my companions, everyone killed him.”
Ali Brigginshaw of Queensland admitted: “Just in the middle, the new South Wales was so strong and it is difficult to stop their momentum.
“Whether it’s their external doors or their middle schools, they continued to roll in the middle. Slide conditions, but they played better tonight.
“It seemed that we only were going out of the troubles for the whole game.”
Although now a third next title has alluited them, Queensland will make a little pride of the series offered winning the final game on May 29 at the McDonald Jones stadium in Newcastle.
The three-games format was introduced in 2024, when Queensland won the 2-1 series after losing the first game.
