role:
It is responsible for building and maintaining award-winning apps, back-end systems that enhance balance and promotion. As the company continues to grow, it is expanding both its portfolio of products and the platforms that support them. Your work will help us to scale our systems and continue to provide a high quality user experience. Work closely with your engineers to educate and build products that please customers. As a senior member of the team, you have the opportunity to guide the product and engineering team in the direction.
This is completely remote anywhere in North or South America. If applicable, you will be sponsored by a US visa and a green card.
How it affects here:
- Lead the technical design and implementation of complex projects by working closely with product management, marketing and content to define problems, create solutions, and provide high-performance, reliable back-end systems that support apps
- Introducing new ideas to help teams iterate through processes and technology
- A fellow mentor engineer, help them develop their skills and be open to learning from your teammates while you continue to increase your own skills.
- It focuses primarily on backend development, but sometimes helps teammates in other areas of the stack (iOS, Android, data, DevOps, etc.).
Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of professional software experience in backend development
- I have experience with Ruby on Rails
- You are passionate about product-centric problem solving
- You’re up to date with the latest backend development news and technology
- Experienced in integrating third-party APIs, especially single sign, purchasing and analytics
- You will be happy to communicate clearly and provide important feedback to improve your product
- Managers can identify areas for improvement and encourage them to complete the project without consistently directing their work
- We have shipped at least one customer product

At Elevate Labs, we take a thoughtful and impartial approach to compensation, with the goal of providing fair and sustainable salaries for all our employees. We use a market-based performance compensation model that is updated annually with high quality industry compensation data.

The full salary range for this role is $120,000-$215,000, but a subset of the range will be used based on each candidate’s location. The final compensation package is based on several factors specific to each candidate, including, but not limited to, skill set, experience, and location.
Finally, people believe that they should be paid fairly for anticipated (and actual) contributions, not negotiating skills. To that end, we offer “first and best” offers to all successful candidates and have a no-negotiation policy. It also provides all employees with a consistent opportunity to receive increased compensation in line with contributions and impacts throughout their tenure.
