Warning issued vs fake Cambodia job offers

[ad_1]

THE Philippine Embassy in Cambodia has issued a warning against fake job offers online in the Southeast Asian country.

The embassy issued the notice after the repatriation of 26 Filipinos who were victimized by illegal recruiters from Cambodia on Thursday.

They were rescued from a bogus company in Samraong Municipality, Oddar Meanchey province.

Fake recruiters, the embassy said, usually entice victims to work as a customer service representative or chat support representative with a salary equivalent to $800 to $1,000 or more, plus free food and accommodation.

Filipinos in Cambodia were urged to report dubious job schemes to the Assistance to Nationals hotline at +855 9888 8771 (Telegram/WhatsApp/Viber) or email [email protected].
