The army began preparing Abram’s tanks from its base in Fort Cavazos, Texas, Washington, DC, to take part in their 250th birthday parade on the National Mall on June 14th and load the tanks on board trains that will leave later this month.
A total of 28 M1A1 Abrams armor is sent to participate in the parade, officials said.
The 250th army celebration, which also falls on President Donald Trump’s birthday, has convinced speculation that Trump uses the event to obtain a great military parade that he was looking for during his first term. However, this event was canceled when the cost estimates had exceeded 90 million US dollars.
Bradley Fighting Vehicles and Stryker vehicles as well as platforms of the First World War such as the M4 Sherman Tank, the Douglas C-47 Transport Aircraft and the P-51 Mustang Fighter are also included. Officials said that the heavy equipment in the West Potomac Park in Washington was staged in front of the parade, which will follow the constitution Avenue and end near the White House, where parachutists will jump onto the ellipse with the golden knights of the army.

The army expects it to spend between 25 and 45 million US dollars for this year’s events, although the final balance is expected to be set up in the US secret service. The US secret service has referred to the event as “National Security Special Event”, which is comparable to the Super Bowl or an inauguration in the presidency and requires considerable security resources. The Ministry of Heimatland has not published a cost estimate for securing the event.
The army will also be on the hook to cause damage to the streets in Maryland and Washington. Officials said they will alleviate the risk of damage by placing new rubber profiles on heavy vehicles and metal plates on the streets where tanks may have to take a sharp curve.
The army said that 6,700 soldiers will arrive in Washington, DC, and on children’s beds in unused German offices, including the Ministry of Agriculture. Shower pendants are set up in secure areas for the troops, which are also offered a scholarship of $ 69, two meals and a hot dinner of a contractor.
Many of the soldiers will march in the parade in the costumes of the time, including the War of Independence bought by a production company, with the aim of telling the public the history of the 250 years of service.
