- Moscow still has to say whether the Russian leader Vladimir Putin will take direct talks with the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who is planned for Thursday in Istanbul and was proposed by Kyiv on the weekend. The leaders have not met since December 2019.
- The President of the United States, Donald Trump, said he “thinking about flying to Istanbul in order to join Putin-Zelensky’s potential discussions.
