Republican of the White House, Texas Republicans, redistribution to protect the GOP House majority

President Donald Trump’s political operation has addressed the Republicans in Texas in order to re -draw the map of the Texas Congress from the middle of the next year to protect the fragile majority of republicans and report several sources familiar with the discussions.

The Republican legislator of Texas, who met on Monday evening in the US Capitol on this topic, described the talks on this topic as provisional and rejected the first discussions that were reported to the New York Times for the first time.

“I won’t comment,” said Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Texas.

“We are still a connection,” said Rep. Brian Babin, R-Texas.

The Republicans currently have a majority of the state’s seats 25-12. A democratic seat in Houston is free after the death of Rep. Sylvester Turner, D-Texas.

If the Republicans in Austin have decided to move forward with the redistribution, it is not clear how they would rekindle the card. A republican source familiar with the discussions stated that up to five seats that are currently held by Democrats could be targeted.

However, the source pointed out that every effort to pull republican voters in democratic seats could backfire – and make more seats susceptible to legal challenges or for democratic pickups when choosing a waves.

“There is an old Mediterranean saying: pigs are slaughtered and pigs are slaughtered,” said the source of ABC News about the potential risks to redeem the card.

A second Republican source, which is familiar with the discussions, announced ABC News that the GOP numbers in Texas discussed the potential for redistribution with the White House.

The Republicans currently have a majority of 220-212 in the US house with three jobs. They started the session with a narrow majority of five seats and were able to have a potential repetition of the congress card in Wisconsin depending on the result of several complaints submitted to the state’s Supreme Court.

MP Marc Vasey, D-Texas, said the talks show that Republicans are “definitely” worried about losing seats in November because the current card, which was approved in 2021, was pulled by the Republicans for the coming decade.

There is an active federal action on the current map submitted by lawyers that have argued that they discriminated against the voters of the color.

“I don’t think there is a question. I mean, why should you do this if you want to know how restless that the electorate could feel?” Said Vasey.

When asked about GOP worries about the loss of control over the house, Babin said: “We are always concerned about the intermediate times. Who wants to go to the minority?”

The redistribution before the next census would be unusual, but not unprecedented in Texas.

In 2003, the Republicans under the direction of former MP Tom Dely pushed an early repetition of the cards to control the majority of the state’s seats from Democrats and triggered a political struggle that made the way to the Supreme Court.

The White House’s office and the governor Greg Abbott did not respond to inquiries about comments.

“I can’t control it, so I don’t care,” said Rep. Dan Clenshaw, R-Texas, who suggested that his district could be one of these new customers.

“If we really went through it, districts like my obviously those who are targeted because I live in the suburbs. I am the one that you have to take from the rural areas and put into the suburbs, so I would basically return to my old district, I think.”

The Republicans’ talks come, as some Democrats have their sights in their sights again to make profits in Texas.

The Texas Democratic Party started a new organization with the Texas majority PAC, an external group supported by the liberal Megadonor George Soros this week by liberal megadonor George Soros.

The Texas Republicans will be related to representatives of the White House on this topic next Thursday, the legislators ABC News said.
