This role uses data and analytics to identify business opportunities for the company and drive growth. Category Managers will work with the ELF Sales Team and with Cross Functional Partners to ensure that the most productive assortment is presented to the Walmart team. This role also works closely with mod execution. This role does not perform mods, but they are responsible for ensuring that assortment and merchandising meet the company’s standards. Additional responsibilities include assessing the effectiveness of off-the-shelf and promotional initiatives, assessing both pre- and posting efforts, ensuring end-to-end accuracy of key deliverables, and developing strong partnerships with Walmart merchants and category teams. This role requires effective communication skills as this is a position to face the customer. Candidates should be able to demonstrate powerful capabilities in Microsoft Office, most specifically Excel and PowerPoint. It’s also important to be a powerful self-starter with the ability to multitask and work efficiently in a very fast-paced environment, while effectively managing your time. Finally, experience with syndicated data such as Circana (IRI/NPD), Neilsen, and experience in the consumer goods category with high SKU counts is required. Passion and experience for the beauty category is a clear plus!
