The end of the voice process for the papal conclave can be secretly wrapped, but it is uncomplicated.
Each member of the conclaves writes his choice on a paper list and folds it in half. Then he carries it between two fingers as he goes to the altar.
The slip is then deposited in a special urn that is only used for the voting process.
Conclave members are instructed to “write their voices as far as possible in the manuscript that cannot be identified as his” in order to ensure anonymity.
Cardinals do their oath in the Sistine chapel when the consequence for the election of a new Pope on May 7, 2025 starts in the Vatican.

Any member of the conclaves who does not personally make it into the Sistine chapel due to illness or frailty leaves his ballot paper from this room in the Domus Marthae Santae. These ballots are placed in a switching box and carried into the Sistine chapel.
Three examiners then count the voices by confirming what is written in every ballot and they announce the conclave, which means that the cardinals can record the voices themselves.
The first candidate to ensure two thirds of the votes is elected as the next Pope.
