FoxBorough, Mass. – Julian Edelman was voted by fans as an induced of 2025 in Patriots Hall of Fame, the team announced on Monday.
Edelman spent his entire 12 -year career with the Patriots, joining the franchise as a choice of the seventh round by the Kent state in 2009 and becoming a key gear in three teams of the Super Bowl Championship after passing from the college quarterback to the NFL receiver.

This was Edelman’s first year of suitability for Patriots Hall of Fame, who requires a player to be withdrawn for at least four seasons. A committee from the Hall of Fame of Patriots made up of media members, former players and coaches and the media staff based on a team appointed him a finalist alongside the footballer Adam Vinieri (1996-2005) and the offensive guard from Logan Mankins (2005-13).
Of the finalists chosen by the committee of the Hall of Fame of Patriots, a vote of a fan for several weeks determines an indectee since the process was established in 2007.
“Julian Edelman is one of the great success stories in the history of our franchise,” said the owner Robert Kraft in a note. “There are not many players who earn a place in the NFL in a position they have never played before. Julian not only did it as a selection of drafts from the seventh round, but has finished his career with the second reception in the history of the franchise [620] And like three times super bowl champion, including his latest MVP of the Super Bowl.
“Nobody was more busy in his job and refine his skills as Jules. His explosiveness out of line, the speed in his cuts and elusiveness after the capture made him one of the most difficult players to defend. His clutch has captured in our greatest games and the general force made him a favorite by the fans.”
Edelman Posted Ax Monday which was “honored and grateful”. The post included a video of him who called his father to share the news.

The former coach of Patriots Bill Belichick had the foresight of projecting that Edelman – who finished his state career of the Kent with 4,997 YARD passage and 2,664 racing in 31 games – could move on to the receiver and Punt Returer in the NFL. This led the Patriots to select it with choice n. 232 of the 256-Pick draft in 2009.
Edelman’s transition was not without continuity. In his first training field, he fought to capture the games and was whistled by fans at some point.
Edelman has been more a niche player in his first four seasons in the NFL-for a total of 69 receptions for 714 YARD and four touchdown-Prima to break through in 2013 with a 105 catch and 1,056 yard season as a reference goal of the Quarterback Tom Brady.
His career has taken off from there, with probably his biggest game arriving in the 34-28 victory of the team on Atlanta Falcons In the Super Bowl there with a sensational underwater capture with the ball in the fourth trimester.
The comedy reflected the way Edelman, as Kraft noticed, was one of the most clutch artists of the Patriots. It ranks third in the history of the NFL with 118 post -installation receptions, behind Travis Kelce (178) and Jerry Rice (151). Its 1,442 post-installation reception yard are also in third place of all time, behind Rice (2,245) and Kelce (2,078).

While Edelman is widely considered worthy of the Patriots Hall of Fame Honor, his selection of fans on Vinieri – who was also in his first year of eligibility after the 2024 vote process was presented to induce Brady – it is likely that he will trigger debate on how much influence the fans should have in selecting the inductor.
