Philadelphia – The Eagles They accepted a multi -year extension with the coach head Nick Sirianni, the team announced on Monday.
The terms of the extension have not been disclosed.
“As an organization, we have always tried to create a culture of the successful successful championship,” said the owner of Eagles Jeffrey Lurie in a note. “Nothing is more important to promote such an environment than having a great leadership. Nick has embodied everything we were looking for in a coach since we hired him four years ago. Her authentic leadership style, football intelligence, passion for play and growth mentality have contributed to bringing out the best in our team. I am enthusiastic about what the future is valid for the Philadelpha Eagles.”
Lurie had mentioned last month at the annual meeting of the NFL in Palm Beach, Florida, that an extension would arrive.
Before the extension, Sirianni had been foreseen to enter the last year of the five -year contract who signed when he was hired by the Eagles in 2021.
Sirianni, 43, is 48-20 with the Eagles and its winning percentage (.706) in the highest third in the Super Bowl era. It is 6-3 in the post-stage and led the team in two appearances of the Super Bowl, including a decisive victory last February against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Eagles underwent a 1-6 collapse along the stretch in 2023 and started 2-2 last season, apparently putting Sirianni on a shaky ground. But the team replied going to 16-1 along the stretch, including the post-installation, to offer Filadelfia his second Lombard trophy.
