Pakistan’s military officers predicted a defiant attitude in a press conference that indicated that the escalations did not end so quickly. “They sent their drone; they received an appropriate answer,” said lieutenant general Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the chief spokesman for the Pakistani army. “So we will do what we will do at a time, a place and method of our choice. We are only committed to someone in Pakistan.”
