Sly Stone, a radio rock star who headed the Sly group and the family stone, died at the age of 82, his family explanation.
In an explanation it says that he had suffered a “longer fight” with the lung disease COPD.
Stone, whose real name was Sylvester Stewart, grew up with his siblings and played the Woodstock Music Festival in 1969.
On the way, Stone was a radio DJ in San Francisco before he and his band beat the great time with hits, including it is a family affair and if they want me to stay.
Stone was a giant of the radio music that was known for mixing psychedelia, funk, rock and soul, his big style and even bigger hair.

Stone married the model and actress Kathy Silva (right) on June 5, 1974. Her wedding was anything but intimate: Tens of thousands of fans unpacked the Madison Square Garden Stadium in Manhattan to see how the couple bitch the knot live on stage. Later they recorded their reception in the Waldorf astory where this shot was made.

In 2006 the artist met the Grammys stage in Los Angeles. He is reminiscent of his family as “a monumental figure, a groundbreaking innovator and a real pioneer who redefines the landscape of pop, radio and rock music”.
