LSU Shreveport was the first college baseball team to get undefeated and ended with 59-0 when the NAIA championship in Lewiston, Idaho, won.
The perfect season of the pilots ended with a 13:7 win over Southeasters (Florida) on Friday evening and gave the 10,000-school school in the northwest of Louisiana in every sport.
For 25 years, LSU Shreveport has been one of the top programs in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, which rules sport in 241 mainly small colleges across the country.
The pilots have performed in the Naia National Tournament every year and in 2021, 2022 and 2025 in the Naia World Series. In six seasons under coach Brad Neffendorf 270-49, including 142-13 in the Red River Athletic Conference.
LSU Shreveport only played four games that have decided this season with a run this season, and took second place in the NAIA with 11.3 runs per game and with a stroke of 0.361. The pilot’s 2.38-e-e-eer was more than a better run than the next Closest team, and they led the nation with a field percentage of 0.982.
Josh Gibson, with .436, was one of three players in the team who did better than .400, and Isaac Rohde achieved a Naia lead of 146 and had a 2.09-e-e-e-e-eer while scored 16: 0.
The pilots broke the percentage of Naia record win of 0.935 when Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio) 1996 43-3.
