15,000 Argentine fans to ban from the Club World Cup

The Argentine security minister Patricia Bullrich delivered the United States Embassy to Buenos Aires on Monday a list of 15,000 violent football enthusiasts who will be prohibited by the stadiums during the next club world cup.

The expanded tournament, which will be held in the United States from 14 June to 13 July, will present Argentine club Boca Juniors and River Plate, as well as 30 other teams around the world.

“The list includes more than 15,000 people who will be prohibited by the stadiums. For us, this is extremely important because no violent person who has committed any crime in the Argentine stadiums will be able to participate in this sporting event,” Bullrich said to journalists.

The list was completed through the “Tribuna Segura” program, a tool that allows the detection of people prohibited by the Argentine stadiums.

“Since the beginning of this government,” Segura Tribuna “has monitored over 4 million people in 1,328 games. We have detected 1,166 people with arrest mandates and we issued more than 40 administrative resolutions by limiting the entrance to the stadiums,” added Bullich.
